About Us
The MemorialCare Sleep Disorders Center has been evaluating patients with sleep disorders since l986. Our centers provide expert evaluation and treatment recommendations utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment. Our sleep program is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The Long Beach Memorial Medical Center , MemorialCare Sleep Disorder Center has been fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) for the past 12 years. We perform complete digital recording and analysis of sleep with state-of-the-art equipment. Overnight PSG’s with the necessary apnea therapy, as well as MWT’s and MSLT’s are performed. Testing is available 7 nights per week.
About the Opportunity
Under general supervision and medical direction, the Polysomnography Technologist II utilizes standard polysomnography practice to provide objective evaluation and documentation of sleep related disorders. Duties include: h ooking up patients, performing PSG studies, and troubleshooting for quality signals. Must be a Registered Polysomnography Technologist, and be a g raduate of an accredited program in Polysomnography Technology. A c urrent American Heart Association Basic Life support (BLS) certification is required. 1 to 2 years of experience in the field of polysomnography is required. Attains 4 hours per year in continuing education related to Polysomnography testing and Sleep Related Disorders. *This position is to cover for staff who are ill or on vacation.
