EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

The exercise physiologist will provide health/fitness evaluations and develop/update exercise prescriptions to clients participating in the Fitness First Gym. This will also include teaching private group classes. The exercise physiologist will assist in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department. This will entail helping the nursing staff to provide cardiac rehabilitative care to the adult and geriatric patient. The employee is responsible for supervising and motivating the adult and geriatric patients; developing and updating exercise and weight training prescriptions while assuring patient safety. The employee will assist nurses with patient monitoring, charting, patient reports and outcomes. The employee will also conduct educational sessions for groups of clients that promote wellness and healthy lifestyle habits.
