Position Summary

This position is responsible for preparing

patients for exams, aseptic techniques,

vital signs, vision, urinalysis, venipuncture

and is familiar with medications, dosages

and injection techniques.

This position requires the ability

to perform ECG.

This position requires the full understanding and

active participation in fulfilling the mission of

It is expected that the employee demonstrate

Education/Training/Experience

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program

Prefer one-year experience in an

Out Patient Clinic and/or

medical office situation.

Licenses/Certifications

CPR

Essential Job Functions

Demonstrates ability to accurately perform medical assisting procedures. Demonstrates the ability

to obtain and document accurate patient vital signs.De monstrates knowledge and

skills regarding medications, dosages and administration under licensed supervision.

Maintains logs and records for narcotics, instrumentation & calibration. Demonstrates sensitivity

regarding patient confidentiality and maintains the patient record in an accurate manner.

Demonstrates the ability to utilize---computer, keyboard, 10 key by touch, printers and telephones.
