High School diploma or equivalent

The Care Associate provides a broad range of support services to ensure efficient operation of the unit. May assist the staff in directing patient care, admitting/registering/scheduling patient visits, obtaining authorizations, triaging patient/family inquiries, preparing billing data, maintaining patient information, preparing required reports, or providing other support as requested by management. A current California Certified Medical Assistant is preferred. A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate is required. 2 years of experience in a hospital and/or physician office environment is preferred. Knowledge of insurances and the authorization process is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is preferred. Must have experience with computer operations. Minimum typing skills of 40 WPM with accuracy is required. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
