The MC21 core trainer provides direct training of the Epic electronic medical record for staff and physician end users for campus implementation and ongoing training for new hires. Develops and provides content for use in classroom and web-based training (WBT) curriculum. Creates, designs and updates training curriculum including reference tools, practice exercises and skill assessments utilizing a variety of formats. Develops and maintains a high level of expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned Epic applications. Draws on own clinical background to consult and advise users, management, physicians, and other clinicians concerning the purpose, features, functions and proper uses of applications. Analyzes clinician work flows and provides system tools for identified efficiencies. Clinical experience preferred. Experience in instructional education, training and/or customer service desirable. Must possess excellent organizational, presentational and listening/verbal skills. Must excel in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated. Must be available for limited travel to campuses. Professional health care license, Registered Nurse or Physician’s Assistant preferred. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferably in a health care or information technology related area preferred.
