About the Opportunity
The Clinical Pharmacist Per Diem is responsible for providing safe, effective and timely pharmaceutical service to patients of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center . The Clinical Pharmacist Per Diem is also responsible for patient education, patient drug therapy monitoring and cost effective provision of service. The Clinical Pharmacist Per Diem is responsible for drug information service and supervision of ancillary staff only in the absence of regular pharmacist personnel. Must be l icensed as a pharmacist in the state of California . A m inimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a busy retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy that utilizes a computer system for the processing of prescriptions and billing of insurances is required. ASHP accredited residency in pharmacy practice is preferred. Must be a ble to stand for up to 10 hours a day, type at least 30 WPM with accuracy, communicate effectively with patients and health care workers, and lift up to 20 lbs.
